Florida license renewal CE

Florida Nail + Full Specialist 10‑Hour CE

The ten hours Florida requires for nail specialist, full specialist, and cosmetologist renewal, built around nail work: e-files, pedicure tubs, MMA, HEMA, and the nail conditions you should refer out.

What is different about this course

Taught by a working Florida tech. We report for you.

Helen Zhang, FL Full Specialist (FS910890), is the instructor of record. When you pass, we report your completion to DBPR / CE Broker for you. Do it all on your phone.

Florida law, section by section

The laws module walks through Chapter 477, Florida Statutes, the Board’s rule chapter 61G5, and DBPR’s procedural rule 61-6 in plain English. Many courses give you links to the statutes and move on.

Built for nail work

Sanitation covers pedicure-tub disinfection tiers and implement classes. Chemistry covers liquid-and-powder, gel, and why MMA is banned in Florida. The elective is nail disorders and when to refer out — not hair content with “nail” swapped in.

The 1099 and booth-rental reality

Most Florida nail techs are not W-2 employees. The OSHA and workers’ compensation modules cover what that means for your coverage and your safety, not just what the law says about employers.

What the course covers

How it works

  1. Work through eight modules in order, on any device. The course saves your place.
  2. Each module has a minimum time, because Florida requires seat time to match the hours awarded. Move through a module’s sections at your own pace; the timer pauses when you leave the page.
  3. Take the 40-question final exam. You need 75% to pass, and you can retake it.
  4. We report your completion to DBPR / CE Broker for you, and email you your certificate.
